Accepting New Students

Trial Lesson

  • New prospective students will start with a 3o minutes free trial lesson, including a consultation. This gives us time to get to know each other, assess the student’s level and goals, and answer any questions.

Who I teach

  • I teach students of ALL levels, age 5 & up.​​

Lesson Options

  • Lessons are offered in 30, 45 & 60-minute privately each week; Adult students may sign up for bi-weekly lessons, depending on their needs.​

  • Lessons are offered both in-studio, in-home & online to best accommodate each student’s needs. Online lessons are conducted via Zoom, FaceTime, etc, using high-quality video and audio.

  • Lessons can be conducted in either English or Mandarin Chinese, based on the student’s preference.

  • Lessons are available on weekends.

Lesson content

  • During the piano lessons, you can expect the following additional class contents in addition to playing repertoire:

    Technique

    Sight reading

     Ear Training 

    Music Theory

     Accompanying 

  • As a conservatory-trained musician, my specialty lies in classical repertoire, but students can have a chance to choose the repertoire they are interested in when appropriate (For example, jazz music, pop music, Disney music, video game music, movie tracks, and classical music).

Performance & Opportunities

  • A formal recital may be scheduled once a year.

  • Students have the opportunity to take evaluation exams(such as AIM, RCM, ABRSM), competitions, and festivals.

Lesson Plan

  • School-Year-Based Plan (August-May)

  • Semester-Based Plan (Fall/Spring)

  • Single-Lesson plan: It is available by request and is ideal for achieving short-term goals, such as competitions and auditions.

Tuition

  • Tuition starts at $126 per month for weekly lessons. Rates may vary depending on the lesson length and lesson plan you choose.

  • New students who start mid-semester will be charged prorated tuition for the remaining months of that semester.

Referrals

  • We appreciate it when you share our studio with others. As a thank-you, a current student will receive one complimentary lesson for referring a new student who enrolls in a school year or a semester lesson plan.
